Sean studied at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BA Hons in Performance. He went on to tour with postgraduate company Verve 05 before going on to tour as a principle dancer and rehearsal assistant with 2007 Culture award-winning Sakoba Dance Theatre.
Sean has appeared in London’s West End including Fame the Musical, NYMT’s Bugsy Malone and West End Live before playing the lead role as Tyrone in Fame for the European and UK tour. He also danced in the new production of Sleeping Beauty the Musical choreographed by Arlene Phillips for Sadler’s Wells as well as featuring as a soloist for Prince Edward’s Gala at St James's Palace.
His TV and Commercial credits include: dancing for Recording artists Lemar, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Gina G and Javine Hylton, backing dancer for X Factor 2009, and backing dancer for Elton John and Will Young for New Year’s Red Piano Concert live at the O2. He appeared as a dancer in (Century Fox) Gulliver’s Travels staring Jack Black.
Sean choreographed on Coronation Street's 50th anniversary pilot before choreographing the anniversary live performances on ITV’s This Morning and Paul O’Grady. As well as choreographing musicals and professional pantomimes, Sean has produced many dance pieces for youth dance and has successfully led a dance department in a Yorkshire secondary school, as well as teaching as a freelance artist in FE colleges and universities all over the UK before becoming the Talent Development Leader for CAPA College’s CHARGE.
